This workshop will open up young and emerging media artists to ways to discovering and nurturing new possibilities in their story-telling and dimensionality of characters, as directors through their actors. Lead by Industry Director Michael Kennedy (Little Mosque on the Prairie).

Mr. Kennedy, using a wealth of case studies and personal professional experience, will demonstrate how to direct actors and non-actors. Participants, as directors or actors, will learn how their contributions can explore new creative potentials, get  actors to ‘show themselves’ and get the scene ‘to work’. In the afternoon sessions, Mr. Kennedy will work hands-on with director and actor participants on their own scripted scenes. This will be a truly great opportunity for all of our writers and directors and actors.

  • This workshop takes place May 10th and 11th from 10am-12pm and from 1pm-3pm at Holland College, Lecture Theatre, Charlottetown. It is open to the general public.
  • To register call Jim Bruce at 902-892-3131 or director@imac.coop
